The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of part of the estate of Major John Alexander, County Carlow, record No. S. 8563, at Ballinabranna. An objection has been lodged to the acquisition of the lands, and this objection is pending for hearing before the Land Commission. It is not possible to anticipate a decision.
