Written Answers. - Acquisition of Kildare Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when the Land Commission propose to acquire the lands owned by Mr. A. Dempsey at Donore, Caragh, Naas, for division amongst local uneconomic holders and landless men.

Mr. Boland

Mr. A. Dempsey does not appear to be the owner of any lands in the townland of Donore.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the estate of Mrs. E. F. Gannon at Laragh, Kilcock (record No. U. 900), for division, and, if so, when the lands will be acquired and divided.

Proceedings are in progress for the acquisition of the lands of Laragh demesne on the estate of Mrs. A. Gannon, County Kildare, record No. S. 8275, and a scheme for their division is in course of preparation, but until this scheme has been completed and settled it will not be possible to say when the lands will be divided.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the estate of the representatives of the late Mr. James Kelly at Maddenstown South, Curragh Camp (record No. 5209), for division, and, if so, when the lands will be acquired and divided.

The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of the lands of Bohergoy Lower, Maddenstown South and Bohergoy Upper on the estate of the representatives of James Kelly. The owner's objection to the acquisition of the lands is pending before the Land Commission and it is not possible to anticipate a decision.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the bogs owned by the Duke of Leinster at Baronstown West, Milltown, Newbridge (ref. No. A.& R. 30916/36), for division, and, if so, when the bogs are likely to be divided.

Mr. Boland

The bogs to which the Deputy refers appear to be the lands of Baronstown West, 326A, and Milltown, 59A, held by Bridget and John Moore. The Land Commission are having inquiries made regarding these lands, but it is not possible to state at present whether or when the lands will be acquired.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the lands at present owned by Mr. Patrick Monahan at Baltracey, Kilcock, and, if so, when the lands will be acquired and divided.

The holding referred to by the Deputy cannot be identified. Mr. Patrick Monahan does not appear to be the owner of any lands in Baltracey townland.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the Aylmer estate at Newtown, Naas, for division, and, if so, when the estate is likely to be acquired and divided.

Proceedings are in progress for the acquisition of the lands of Baysland and Newtown on the estate of Lt.-Col. Richard M. Aylmer, County Kildare, record No. S. 8806, and a scheme for their division is in course of preparation, but until this scheme has been completed and settled, it will not be possible to say when the lands will be divided.
