Vol. 69 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Moate Sewerage Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether proposals were submitted to him by the Commissioner administering the affairs of the Westmeath Board of Health for providing a sewerage scheme in Moate, and, if so, whether the scheme has been approved, and, if not, whether he will state the cause of the delay in having it approved.

Plans for a sewerage scheme for Moate were prepared some time ago, but they cannot be considered until a waterworks improvement scheme has first been carried out. Compulsory powers of acquisition of certain rights are being sought by the Commissioner administering the board of health and public assistance before proceeding with the water supply.
