Vol. 69 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Stradbally (County Waterford) Sanitation.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether representations made on behalf of the people of Stradbally, County Waterford, regarding a water supply and sewerage scheme for the village have yet been considered, and, if so, with what result.

I have received representations on this matter from Deputy P.J. Little, Private Secretary to the President, and from Deputy Mrs. Redmond. I obtained from the county medical officer of health a report as to the relative urgency of the provision of sanitary services for various areas in the county health district of Waterford. The provision of a sewerage scheme for Stradbally was placed sixth in order of priority. Pending the installation of a major scheme the county medical officer of health recommended a small extension of the existing sewerage outfall.
