The average weekly deposits in the Post Office Savings Bank, less withdrawals, for August, 1931, amounted to £7,837 2s. 11d., and for September, 1931, to £4,727 14s. 11d. In the remaining three months of that year the withdrawals exceeded the deposits by the following amounts:—
