Vol. 69 No. 15

Written Answers. - County Cork Housebuilding Grant.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that in the matter of reconstruction of a house for which a grant of £40 was sanctioned belonging to Daniel Murphy, Keilnarovanagh, Toames, Macroom, County Cork, no payment has yet been made though a great deal of the work has already been carried out, and if he will have payment made of some of the grant to enable payment to be made to tradesmen, etc., and to facilitate the completion of the work.

I am not aware that a considerable portion of the work of reconstruction in this case has been carried out. From a communication received on the 25th October, the work had not been commenced. The work of reconstruction was begun about the 18th ultimo. Steps will be taken in due course for an inspection of the premises.
