asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state (a) the total number of applications for non-contributory widows' pensions; (b) the total number of applications for contributory widows' pensions; (c) the total number of applications for non-contributory children's allowances; (d) the total number of applications for contributory children's allowances under the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Acts received prior to January 1st, 1938; the number of such applications in which decisions were reached before January 1st, 1938; the number of (a) contributory and (b) non-contributory pensions and allowances granted before the date in question, the total average weekly amount paid during 1937 in respect of (a) contributory and (b) non-contributory pensions and allowances and the total payments made during the year 1937 in respect of (a) contributory and (b) non-contributory pensions and allowances.
