Vol. 70 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Removal of Sugar Duties.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the loss to the Exchequer during (a) the first six months of the present financial year, and (b) the estimated loss for the whole financial year arising out of the arrangement entered into with the British Government in February, 1937, for the purpose of removing the then existing emergency duties on sugar and subsidiary products of United Kingdom origin.

Final figures are not yet available. I shall be glad if the Deputy will repeat the question at a later date.
