The numbers of vacancies notified at employment exchanges and branch employment offices in the years 1936 and 1937 were, respectively, 113,608 and 136,445. The numbers of vacancies filled were, respectively, 98,694 and 130,131. The figures for 1937 are preliminary and subject to revision.
