Vol. 70 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Plans for County Cavan Hospitals.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health (1) if it is correct that the building of the County Cavan hospitals has been delayed by reason of the failure of the Department to approve of the plans lodged; (2) if he will state on what date were the plans lodged in the Department, and (3) the name of the architect approved of by the Department for the said hospitals.

The reply to the first part of the question is in the negative. As regards the second part, the plans at present under consideration for the county hospital were received on the 14th July, 1937. They are preliminary sketch plans. The plans before the Department in connection with the tuberculosis hospital were received on the 8th March, 1938. The plans are draft working drawings. No plans have yet been received in relation to the fever hospital.

The architects employed by the Board of Health and Public Assistance and approved are Messrs. Winters and Jones, 27 Molesworth Street, Dublin.
