Deputy Gorey expressed a desire to raise on the Adjournment matters arising out of question No.8. I informed the Deputy that the Chair could not accept the notice of a proposal to have this matter discussed on the Adjournment. The basic question requests the Minister to make available to members of the Dáil copies of reports dealing with the Carrick-on-Suir slate quarries. The Minister replied that the advice given to him was confidential. A debate on the Adjournment could not lead to any elucidation of the question. No further facts could emerge from discussion, and no purpose could be served by raising this matter on the Adjournment.
