Vol. 73 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Payment of Ground Rents.

asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware that owners of houses in urban areas which have been demolished by urban councils as insanitary, following reports of county medical officers of health, are still obliged to pay ground rents to landlords; and, if so, if he will take steps, by the introduction of legislation or otherwise, to prevent the practice of rent collection in such cases.

I am not prepared to introduce legislation such as is suggested in the question.
