asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the total sum to the credit of each of the following several accounts established under the National Health Insurance Act, 1911:—(a) Department's Investment Account, (b) Approved Societies' Investment Account, (c) Approved Societies' Current Account, (d) Unclaimed Stamps Account, (e) Initial Reserve Values Account, (f) Reserve Values Apportionment Account, (g) Reserve Values Redemption Account, (h) Reserve Suspense Fund, and (i) the Central Fund Account (established under the Act of 1923); further, whether he will state the nominal value of each class of security held (a) by the National Health Insurance Society, and (b) by the Department on behalf of the National Health Insurance Society.

At the 31st December, 1936, being the latest date for which figures are available, the total sum to the credit of each of the following accounts was:—(a) Department's Investment Account. There is no separate Investment Account in the name of the Department; (b) Approved Societies' Investment Account, £1,448,733; (c) Approved Societies' Current Account, £299,431 7s. 1d.; (d) Unclaimed Stamps Account, £11,342 2s. 4½d.; (e) Initial Reserve Values Account. There is no cash sum to the credit of this account. The amount of reserve values unredeemed up to above date was, £2,068,697 10s.; (f) Reserve Values Apportionment Account, £102,810 4s. 6½d.; (g) Reserve Values Redemption Account. There is no cash sum to the credit of this account. The amount of reserve values redeemed up to above date was, £620,643 7s. 2d.; (h) Reserve Suspense Fund. There is no cash sum to the credit of this account; (i) Central Fund Account, £294,787 18s. 11d.
