Vol. 74 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Letting Agreements.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he intends introducing proposals for legislation designed to render void any stipulation in a letting agreement pertaining to a dwellinghouse, which requires the lessee to take out or continue a policy of insurance with a named company.

I would refer the Deputy to the answer given to a similar question put by him on the 8th February, to which I have nothing to add.

Of course the Minister is aware that the practice complained of is still going on? The Minister is aware that certain conditions are laid down when purchasing certain houses as indicated in the question?
