Vol. 75 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wexford Water and Sewerage Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state when approval will be accorded to the County Wexford Board of Health, to enable them to proceed with the necessary water and sewerage schemes at Fethard and Duncannon, County Wexford.

The board of health had to seek compulsory powers in connection with the provision of water supplies to Fethard and Duncannon. These powers were recently granted. Detailed plans of the water schemes will now be required to be submitted to the Department. Sewerage schemes for these areas cannot be approved until water supplies are first installed and in full working order.
