Vol. 75 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cavan Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission have acquired an estate from William Cartwright at Lossett, County Cavan, for distribution among the small holders in the neighbourhood; and, if so, when they propose to divide it.

Mr. Boland

From the particulars furnished the Land Commission are unable to identify the estate in question. There is no person by the name of William Cartwright returned as the present or former rated occupier of any lands in the townland of Lossett, County Cavan.

Or in the neighbourhood? Is not that the district?

Mr. Boland

That is the only information I have. Perhaps the Deputy will get more precise information, and I will then inquire and let him know.

Is the Minister aware that I wrote to the Land Commission four weeks ago, and got a reply to say that they were looking into it and would let me know? I have never got a reply yet.

That is not long—four weeks.
