Vol. 75 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Sailors' and Soldiers' Land Trust.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that decrees for possession have been obtained against certain widows in Éire to surrender possession of cottages under the Irish Sailors' and Soldiers' Land Trust, which were formerly occupied by their deceased husbands; and if he is prepared to devise a scheme on similar lines to those authorised for local authorities, under which the occupants of the cottages would be enabled to purchase their houses, and which would enable the Irish Sailors' and Soldiers' Land Trust to provide further houses for unhoused British ex-servicemen with their families.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply to a similar question on the 23rd November last, to which I have nothing to add.
