Vol. 77 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Retirement of Mental Hospital Attendants.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he can state if a decision has been reached in regard to the age limit for retirement of mental hospital attendants and, if so, when the decision will be made available to the public.

This matter has not been under consideration and the question of a decision, therefore, does not arise.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he is prepared to introduce legislation designed to enable mental hospital attendants to retire on pension on the completion of 25 years' service without a qualification in respect of age.

The reply is in the negative.
