Vol. 77 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Central Marketing Board.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state whether, and, if so, when, he proposes to establish a central marketing board for the purpose of providing better markets and prices for creamery butter exported from Éire.

There is nothing, so far, to add to the statement on this subject I made in the Dáil on the 18th October.

Is the Minister still considering the advisability of setting up such a board or has he given up all hope?

No. In all probability it will be necessary but it is not necessary yet.

Would the Minister undertake to give a decision before the end of the war?

If we have to do it, yes. It is not a matter for this side, you must remember. The necessity may not arise.
