I have had no official proposal to close any station in County Meath. Inquiries are being made as to whether, in the interests of economy, any stations can be dispensed with— due regard, of course, being had to the public safety and the carrying on of essential services—but I shall take no decision in any particular case without careful consideration of all the relevant circumstances.
