Vol. 78 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Brooklawn (Mayo) Farm.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission have yet come to a final decision as to the acquisition of the lands of Ishlaun (otherwise Brooklawn), formerly held by the Misses Agnes and Teresa Jordan, and now in the occupation of Mr. John Gallagher (Record No. U4688).

I would refer the Deputy to the reply given to his previous question of the 9th May last in regard to these lands. I have nothing to add at present to that reply.

Is the Minister not aware that the reply then given to me was that the matter would receive further consideration? Has it received further consideration, that is, not merely the question put, but the supplementaries also put to the then Minister? Has the matter received further consideration or has it been investigated since I put my last question?

A report of the usership of the lands has been considered by the Land Commission subsequent to the Deputy's question on the 9th May. It is considered that action should not be taken.

Then I may take it that the Land Commission have definitely made up their minds not to acquire this farm?
