Vol. 78 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kildare Holding—Building of House.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when it is hoped to complete the house which the Land Commission proposed to erect for Mr. A. Shegar, Kilmurry, Johnstownbridge, Enfield, who was allocated a holding on the Dunfierth estate (Receivable Order No. M.946/1).

The contractor to whom this contract was alloted failed to go on with the work and it became necessary to determine the contract. The Land Commission re-advertised the contract and the tenders received are, at present, under consideration. In the circumstances, it is not possible at present to state when the house will be completed, but there will be no avoidable delay.

Can the Minister say when the contract will be placed?

The tenders are at the moment under consideration.

Does that mean that they will be placed early?
