asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state in respect of the years 1938 and 1939 the average cost, at the place of importation, during the months of January and July of the following commodities, i.e., household coal (per ton), Canadian wheat (per cwt.), all other imported wheat (per cwt.), household flour (per sack), bakers' flour (per sack), tea (per lb.), and sugar (per lb.).

In regard to the figures required in respect of the year 1938, I would refer the Deputy to the reply given to Deputy Corish on 7th December, 1938, in answer to a similar question.
The average values, which represent the cost, insurance and freight at the place of importation, exclusive of customs charges, required for the year 1939 were as follows:—
