Vol. 78 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Division in Clare.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that John Doyle, Ardsollus, Quin, County Clare, was employed for over 20 years on the Fitzgerald Blood farm, Castlefergus, and lost his employment when that farm was acquired by the Irish Land Commission and divided; and if he will state why, in view of these circumstances, an allotment on the divided farm was not provided for him.

According to the information before the Land Commission, John Doyle was not employed on the lands of Castlefergus acquired by them from Captain Fitzgerald Blood. He appears to have been employed on another farm in the possession of the same owner and to have continued in such employment after the division of the Castlefergus lands.
