asked the Minister for Defence if he will state (a) the number of claims made for pensions under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, by persons in County Meath (b) the number of such claims granted, (c) the number of such claims rejected, (d) the names and addresses of persons in County Meath to whom such pensions have been awarded, together with the amount of the pension in each case.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state (a) the number of claims made for pensions under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, by persons in County Kilkenny, (b) the number of such claims granted, (c) the number of such claims rejected, (d) the names and addresses of persons in County Kilkenny to whom such pensions have been awarded together with the amount of the pension in each case.

(1) I propose taking collectively Deputy Giles' questions Nos. 20, 21 and 22 requesting certain particulars regarding applicants for pensions under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, residing in Counties Offaly, Meath and Kilkenny. A list giving particulars of persons resident in those counties to whom pensions have been awarded under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, is being prepared and will be forwarded to the Deputy in a few days. It is contrary to practice to disclose the addresses of persons in receipt of Military Service pensions.

(2) Owing to the large number of applications received under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, it is not practicable to state the number of such applicants who reside in those counties or the number of such claims rejected.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state if a decision has yet been reached on the application of James Donovan, Dooneen, Rosscarbery, County Cork, for a military service pension; and if not, when a decision is likely to be reached.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state if a decision has yet been reached on the application of John Hayes, Dooneen, Rosscarbery, County Cork, for a military service pension; and, if not, when a decision is likely to be reached.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state if a decision has yet been reached on the application of Thomas Regan, Barley Hill, Rosscarbery, County Cork, for a military service pension, and if not, when a decision is likely to be reached.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state if a decision has yet been reached on the application of Cornelius Dempsey, Droumgunna, Rosscarbery, County Cork, for a military service pension, and if not, when a decision is likely to be reached.

I propose taking collectively questions No. 23, 24, 25 and 26 regarding Messrs. Dempsey, Donovan, Hayes and Regan. As the referee has not yet reported to me on the application of these individuals under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, I am not in a position to state when decisions in the matter will be reached.
