Vol. 79 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kilmurry (Cork) New School.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state what progress has been made with the proposed provision of a new school at Kilmurry, County Cork, and whether it is intended to erect the school during the present financial year.

The necessary preliminary investigations with regard to the provision of a new national school at Kilmurry, County Cork, have been completed. The local contribution to be provided is at present the subject of correspondence with the manager. When this has been settled the arrangements for the placing of the contract will be made as expeditiously as possible.

It is the intention to proceed with the erection of a new school in Kilmurry?

I have informed the Deputy that preliminary investigations have been made and that the question of the local contribution is under discussion. That will have to be settled.

This matter has been going on for the past three years.

I do not think so— that is not my information.
