Vol. 79 No. 16

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Report of Drainage Commission.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state whether he has yet received any report from the Drainage Commission, and, if not, when a report is likely to be received.

An interim report was received from the Drainage Commission in March, 1939, recommending the installation of a system of guages throughout the country, for the collection and collation of data relating to rainfall and river discharges. I have not yet received the commission's final report, but I understand that it is in course of preparation. It is not possible to indicate precisely when the report will be presented.
