Vol. 81 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Lands Under Departmental Control.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state in respect of each county the area of (a) arable and (b) non-arable land in the possession or under the immediate control of the Department of Defence, and if he will state further the percentage of the arable land in each case which was tilled in the year, 1940, and the percentage which it is proposed to bring under tillage in 1941.

As the reply to the question is in the nature of a tabulated statement the details will be published in the Official Report, if the Deputy has no objection.

I have no objection.

Following is the reply: The statement appended hereunder shows approximately in respect of each county (1) the area of (a) arable and (b) non-arable land in the possession or under the immediate control of this Department and (2) the percentage of arable land under tillage in 1940 and the percentage proposed to be brought under tillage in 1941.
