Vol. 81 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Interest on Short-term Advances.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state (a) the highest, and (b) the lowest rate of interest paid on short-term advances (Treasury Bills) from 1st September, 1939, to date.

In the period mentioned by the Deputy there was only one borrowing by way of Exchequer Bills and I would prefer not to be pressed to a public declaration of the discount rate paid as this might affect other negotiations for borrowings of a similar character.
