The prices at present being charged for turf by coal merchants in Dublin are: — 40/- per ton, 30/9 per ¾ ton, 21/- per ½ ton, 11/3 per ¼ ton, 2/3 per bag of approximate weight of one cwt.
My Department is at present examining the prices charged for turf by bell-men, hucksters and barge owners concerning which complaints of overcharging have been received.
