Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wheat Reserve Committee.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will state the names and qualifications of the members of the Wheat Reserve Committee, the date of its formation, the authority under which it was formed, and its powers, functions, or terms of reference.

The Wheat Reserve Committee is a committee of the Irish Flour Millers' Association. It was appointed at a general meeting of that association held on the 20th September, 1938, for the purpose of purchasing and storing a reserve supply of wheat. I understand that the present members of the Wheat Reserve Committee are:—A.A. Odlum, president, Irish Flour Millers' Association; director, W.P. & R. Odlum, Limited, Millers, Port Laoighise. J.P. Goodbody, director, Ranks (Ireland) Limited, Limerick. Major T.D. Hallinan, F. Hallinan, directors, Cork Milling Company, Limited. H. Golden, director, J.W. Green & Company (Cork) Limited, Corn Merchants. T. H.W. Davis, director, Flake Maize Limited, Waterford. J. Figgis, director, Figgis, Son & Company Limited, Grain Merchants, Dublin. W.J. Freeman, director, Bolands Limited, Millers and Bakers, Dublin.
