Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kildare Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state if it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire the Moore Abbey estate, Monasterevan, for the purpose of division and, if so, what stage proceedings have reached.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of the lands on the Moore Abbey estate at Monasterevan, and are not prepared to take any action at present in regard thereto.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission have completed their inquiries in respect of the estate of the representatives of the late Daniel Kelly, comprising 334 acres at Drennanstown, North, and Drennanstown, South, Rathangan, County Kildare, and, if so, whether it is intended to institute proceedings for the acquisition of the lands.

I would refer the Deputy to the replies given to his previous questions of 30th May, 1940, and 27th November, 1940, relative to this estate. Having regard to the emergency conditions now obtaining it is not proposed to take any action in the matter at present.
