Vol. 82 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Coal Supplies for Threshing Machines.

asked the Minister for Supplies whether any steps are being taken to ensure a distribution of coal to proprietors of steam engines engaged in threshing operations; and, if so, what is the nature of these arrangements.

The matter to which the Deputy refers has received my attention. No special arrangement has yet been made but my Department is getting in touch with known associations of owners of threshing machines on the subject. I do not at present anticipate that there will be any exceptional difficulty experienced in procuring coal for threshing engines through the usual sources of supply.
