Vol. 83 No. 5

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sheep-Dipping Period.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will consider amending the Sheep Dipping Order, 1937, so that the dipping period should start on the 1st July instead of the 1st August, with a view to having compulsory double dipping completed before general harvesting operations begin thus obviating any interference with the saving of cereal crops this year.

I am satisfied that there are no adequate grounds for amending the order as proposed.
