Vol. 84 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Export of Fat Stock from Limerick.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if, in view of the fact that County Limerick has been free from foot-and-mouth disease in cattle for many weeks and that the normal fairs and markets in the county are being held, he will consider including the county in the area from which the export of fat stock is being permitted.

The question of permitting the movement for export of fat stock from County Limerick and other counties where the disease position is regarded as satisfactory, but which are not at present included in the area from which export is allowed, is under consideration. The prior agreement of the British authorities has to be obtained before such movement can be allowed.
