Vol. 84 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of River.

asked the Minister for Finance if the Commissioners of Public Works have received a resolution from the Kiltimagh Parish Council setting forth the urgent necessity of putting in force a scheme for the draining of the Yellow River, Geestaun and Pullogh, and if so, what steps, if any, does he propose to take for the carrying out of such a scheme.

The answer to the first part of the question is yes. Consideration of proposals for the drainage of the Geestaun, Pullogh and Yellow Rivers has been deferred pending the enactment of legislation to amend the existing drainage code.
