Vol. 85 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Advertising in County Waterford Newspapers.

Mr. Broderick

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the total amount paid by away of advertising for (a) his Department, (b) for the Pigs and Bacon Board, to each of the local papers published in the City and County of Waterford (1) during the 12 months ended 31st March, 1941; (2) for the current year up to 31st October, 1941; (3) the amounts remaining to be paid in respect of advertisements inserted in these papers up to 31st October, 1941.

The answer so far as the advertising by my Department is concerned is in the form of a tabular statement which will be circulated with the Official Report.

As the advertisements issued by the Pigs and Bacon Commission are matters entirely within the province of the commission the particulars regarding that advertising are not in the possession of my Department.

The following is the tabular statement referred to:—

Name of Paper

Amounts paid during year ended 31st March, 1941

Amounts paid during period 1st April to 31st October, 1941

Amounts due up to the 31st October, 1941 but not yet paid
