Vol. 85 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Home and Foreign Wheat Prices.

asked the Minister for Supplies what is the relation between the fixed price now being paid for this year's home-grown wheat crop and the all-in cost of foreign wheat now being landed in this country.

The minimum fixed price at present payable for native wheat having a bushel weight of not less than 59 lbs. is 40/- per barrel (280 lbs.) on the farm, and the c.i.f. price of imported wheat varies from 65/4 per barrel to 84/7 per barrel according to the ports through which it is shipped.
