Vol. 85 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drogheda Fuel Supply.

asked the Minister for Supplies what provision has been made to provide fuel for the people of the town of Drogheda, and is he aware that there is no fuel available for the vast majority of the citizens of Drogheda.

Sufficient supplies of turf are held in Drogheda by Fuel Importers (Éire) Ltd. to give the current ration to all domestic users and further supplies are being received. The company is making arrangements for the distribution of this turf through the recognised trade channels. As the Deputy is no doubt aware, considerable difficulty was experienced in obtaining suitable accommodation in Drogheda for a reserve of fuel.
