Vol. 85 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kilkenny City Fairs.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he refused the request of the Kilkenny Corporation for a permit for the holding of a cattle and sheep fair in Kilkenny on December 10th and whether, in view of the fact that during the past month fairs have been held in several towns in the adjacent counties and in certain towns in County Kilkenny, he will state the grounds on which he refused to grant a permit for the holding of the fair in Kilkenny City.

Fairs authorities in the Counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Laoighis, Tipperary (S.R.) and Wexford will be free to hold fairs at all centres in those counties from the 8th December. An announcement to that effect appeared in the Press on the 28th November.
