In the earlier case the last term of office commenced on the 21st September, 1930, and ended on the 20th September, 1933. In the second case the last term of office commenced on the 21st September, 1941, was due in the normal course to expire on the 20th September, 1944, but was ended by the commissioner's death on the 1st December, 1941.
