Vol. 86 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Allocation of Swords Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if it is his intention to allocate the remainder of the McCarthy estate, Lissenhall, Swords, to local landless and uneconomic holders and thereby ensure more food production; and, if not, if he will give instructions that all the land referred to must be let for tillage instead of grazing.

No arrangements have yet been made for the final disposal of the area of 113a. 1r. 29p. on the hands of the Land Commission in the townland of Lissenhall Little, on the McCarthy Estate. All the arable lands with the exception of some four acres have been let by the Land Commission for tillage this season.
