Vol. 88 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Housing Committee of Inquiry.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state whether the Committee of Inquiry into Dublin housing, which was set up on the 21st March, 1939, has yet presented its report to him; if not, if he will state the cause of the delay; and, if so, if he will state when the report will be published.

The report has not yet been presented. Members of the Committee of Inquiry have had to undertake special duties in connection with problems arising out of the emergency and have consequently been unable to give undivided attention to an examination of the evidence at the inquiry. The preparation of the report is being pressed forward, but I understand it will not be completed for some months yet.
