Vol. 89 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mental Hospital Staff's Wages.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state if the resolution passed by Limerick District Mental Hospital Committee, at their meeting held on the 5th August last, granting an increase of £10 per annum to the male attendants employed in the institution has been received in his Department; and if he will state on what date it was received, and if, in view of the increased cost of living, generally, he will sanction this increase.

A communication, dated 17th November, 1942, was received in my Department on 18th idem from the resident medical superintendent of the institution transmitting a copy of the resolution in question together with a request for sanction to the proposed increase. Additional particulars necessary for consideration of the proposal which were requested on the 3rd instant are awaited.
