Vol. 89 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Liffey Power Scheme.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce to state when it is expected that the Liffey Power Scheme will come into operation.

As already stated in the Electricity Supply Board's annual report for the year ended 31st March, 1942, a substantial portion of the electrical and mechanical equipment for the Liffey power station has been delivered and erected. Since March last small quantities of material have been received, but the major portion of the outstanding material has not yet been delivered. In these circumstances it is not possible to state when the plant can be placed in commission.
