Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Army Marriage Allowances.

asked the Minister for Defence whether members of the Army under 23 years are excluded from receiving marriage allowances; and, if so, whether the Minister will reduce the minimum age to 20 years.

Members of the Defence Forces who are under 23 years of age are not eligible to receive marriage allowance. It is not proposed to alter the regulations in this respect.
