asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the value of all imports into Éire year by year as between 1938-1942 (inclusive) and the value of same for the 11 completed months of 1943; and if any increase in the total monetary circulation in Éire since 1938 was necessitated by such imports.

The values (c.i.f.) of the imports into Éire in each of the years 1938 to 1942 and in the first ten months of 1942 and 1943 (the latest figures available) were:
