asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce how many points increase in the cost-of-living index number would be occasioned by the accumulation of increases of prices in commodities as follows: butter 4d. per lb.; tea 2d. per lb.; sugar 1/2d. per lb. and 1/4d. per 2-lb loaf.

The increases in prices mentioned by the Deputy would result, in the aggregate, in an increase of 4.6 points in the cost-of-living index number.
