Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Kildare Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to take steps to acquire the estate of Mr. P. Dowling, Drennanstown, Rathangan, County Kildare, for division among local landless men.

I would refer the Deputy to the replies given to his previous questions of 19th February, 1941, 27th November, 1940, and 30th May, 1940, relative to these lands. I have no other reply to give. The emergency continues.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to take steps to acquire the lands of Mr. Charles Carter, Tankardsgarden, Newbridge, for division.

There are no proceedings pending for the acquisition by the Land Commission of the lands of Mr. Charles Carter, at Tankardsgarden, and it is not proposed to take any action in the matter in present circumstances.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to take steps to acquire the land of Mr. Thomas Berney, of Barrettstown, Newbridge, for division among local uneconomic holders and landless men.

Owing to the emergency conditions the Land Commission do not propose to take any action at present regarding the acquisition of the lands of Mr. Thomas Berney, of Barrettstown, Newbridge.
