Vol. 92 No. 10

Committee on Finance. - Vote 75—Repayments to Contingency Fund.

I move:—

Go ndeontar suim ná raghaidh thar £1,497 chun íoctha an mhuirir a thiocfaidh chun bheith iníoctha i rith na bliana dar críoch an 31adh Márta, 1944, chun Réimhíocanna Ilghnéitheacha áirithe d'aisíoc leis an gCiste Teagmhais.

That a sum not exceeding £1,497 be granted to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending 31st March, 1944, to repay to the Contingency Fund certain Miscellaneous Advances.

This Vote is usually taken at the end of the year, when the amounts that have been paid out of the Contingency Fund become known. The fund, I understand, is retained at a figure of about £20,000, and the sum that is now being asked for is the amount that has been paid out for the last 12 months.

Vote put and agreed to.
